Pampering Night In

Feeling stressed? In need of some relaxation? Or perhaps you just fancy an indulgent night in with friends? Sometimes we all need to take a little time for ourselves, and there’s truly no better way to unwind than through a night of self-care. Here are my top tips for bringing the luxury, tranquillity and relaxation of a spa to your own home, to help you unwind and feel great.

1. Set the Scene

First things first, clear out the clutter, dim the lights (nothing is more unrelaxing than a bright, blinding light!) and put on a playlist of soothing music to set the tone for your evening. Once that’s done, use scented candles to turn your living space into a tranquil sanctuary, then sit back, relax and savour every moment.

I recommend choosing an aroma known for its calming properties, such as lavender – and you can find this fragrance in our Nurture and Serenity Candles. To enhance the aroma further, couple the candles with our Signature Reed Diffusers to carry natural scents and essential oils through the air.

2. Soak Away Your Stresses

With a glass of bubbles to hand (or whatever tipple you prefer), it’s time to run a warm and relaxing bath and let your problems soak away.

I love adding goodies to my bath that will nourish my skin and make me feel truly luxe. Our AromaBombs enriched with purifying sea salt and pure essential oils, help to release the stresses of the day, ease tension, and restore comfort and balance to skin, body and mind.

I also like to add in a few drops of our Bath Oils. Vegan friendly and free from parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals, mineral oils, pesticides and nuts, these 100% natural, deeply therapeutic blends are a luxurious combination of pure essential oils and organic vitamin-rich plant oils that work together to gently soothe, stimulate and nourish the skin. Your mood is lifted, your inner calm is restored, and your skin is left soft, supple and silky smooth.

3. Treat Your Skin With a Mask

An at-home pampering evening is the perfect time to treat yourself to a well-deserved skincare ritual such as a face mask.

Apply our Nourish Exfoliate Mask and let it instantly rejuvenate your skin as you soak in the bath. Its gentle bioactive ingredients, including bamboo powder, gardenia extract, neroli and sandalwood, naturally buff away dull skin cells, leaving your complexion polished and bright. Finish off with a cucumber slice on each eye to help soothe puffiness and reduce dark circles.

4. Buff Your Body

Exfoliating your skin regularly is a must, as it helps to buff away dead skin cells, increases circulation and speeds up the skin’s natural renewal process, leaving your skin supple and silky smooth. I recommend our Body Brilliance Exfoliate – it’s packed full of Himalayan sea salts and 84 trace minerals that work together to detoxify the body, encouraging nutrient absorption at a cellular level to purify and nourish.

5. Lock in Moisture

Hot water can strip both the moisture and oils out of your skin, leaving it feeling dry, so it’s really important to moisturise your skin once you get out of the bath.

Suitable for all skin types, our Body Finish Cream is packed full of nourishing bioactive ingredients, including actiglow C, actimoist plus and vitamin E, which together help to nourish and revitalise the skin. The cream contains a sweet and citrusy blend of bergamot, soothing lavender, sweet neroli and calming chamomile, which smells truly divine.

6. Get Your Beauty Sleep

The ultimate way to feel refreshed and rejuvenated is to treat yourself to a good night’s sleep. Turn off distractions like your TV, mobile and laptop. Try some meditation to relax your body and mind, and use our Petitgrain & Lavender Room Mist to get you ready for a deep, restorative slumber.
