How to Create a Spa Experience at Home

If the stress of lockdown is disrupting your sleep pattern, home-schooling exhausting and spending all day and every day in the house leaving you restless and bored, transform your home into a peaceful and relaxing sanctuary reminiscent of your favourite Spa days.

Light your Favourite Candle

The beautiful aromas that greet us the moment we step into a Spa trigger feelings of calm and serenity. Light a scented candle or use a room spray to recreate a spa-like ambience. Our Light Range Petitgrain & Lavender Candle soothes the mind, body and soul, eases the tensions of the day and prepares you for a deep, peaceful night’s sleep.

Top Tip: Look for ingredients like Lavender, Bergamot, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang, renowned for their soothing and relaxing properties that help relieve anxiety.

Draw a Relaxing Bath

Luxuriating in a bath is the perfect way to ease body tension. The warm water increases our body temperature, relaxing the muscles and soothing us physically and mentally. Taking a bath also lowers the stress hormone cortisol and stimulates the release of endorphins, as well as lowering our blood pressure for better heart health.

Adding a few drops of your favourite essential oil or bath oil will completely transform your bathing experience. Our uplifting Serenity Bath Oil has the comforting aroma of Lemongrass and is beautifully blended with Neroli and sweet Geranium to deeply nourish the skin, leaving it smooth and silky-soft.

Top Tip: If you don’t have a bath, apply our Serenity Body Oil before you step into the shower. The warm steam will create a relaxing sauna effect, allowing you to breathe in the relaxing scent.

Indulge in a Facial Massage

Indulging in a facial is undoubtedly my favourite part of any Spa day. A facial massage re-energises dull and tired skin and has the added benefit of lymphatic drainage. The lymphatic system is responsible for carrying white blood cells throughout our body to clear away toxins and a massage stimulates the movement of lymph fluid that supports the skin’s natural cleansing process.

Start your facial with our Rejuvenate Face Serum Oil to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, revitalise dull, tired skin and improve elasticity.

Apply a small amount to your palms and rub together to evenly distribute the oil right through to your fingertips. Press your fingers between your brows and slide upwards to the forehead, repeating several times to cover the area. Massage with your fingertips from the centre of your face, past your cheeks and up to the ears. Repeat the same up-and-out motion across your jawline. Finish with your neck using gentle vertical stokes from the collarbone upwards.

Top Tip:  After a facial massage always apply an intensive moisturiser. The skin repairs itself at night, so try our Nourish Night Cream to help this rejuvenating process and improve your skin’s overall texture. It’s essential to keep your skin hydrated with a moisturiser for a more radiant complexion when you wake.
